Explore Family TherapyYou do not have to be in crisis to seek support. People choose Sanctum for our warm, person-centred approach, grounded in professional and ethical standards of care, where they feel heard, understood, and supported as they navigate challenges, deepen self-awareness, and work towards meaningful change.
If what you're navigating isn't on this list, it doesn't mean we can't help. Reach out and we'll let you know honestly whether we're the right fit.
Individual therapy is a confidential, one-to-one process between you and a qualified therapist — a structured space to explore what's going on, understand patterns that aren't serving you, and begin to shift them. It is not advice-giving, and it is not judgement.
Therapy at Sanctum is integrative — the approach is tailored to you, not applied as a fixed formula. Depending on what you're navigating, your therapist may draw from:
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
Identifying and shifting thought patterns and behaviours that sustain distress.
Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT)
Building skills in emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness.
Narrative Therapy
Examining the stories we carry about ourselves — and whether they serve us.
Trauma Informed Care
An approach that recognises how trauma can shape thoughts, emotions, behaviours, and relationships, while prioritising psychological safety, trust, and choice to support healing at a pace that feels right for you.
Internal Family Systems (IFS)
Working with different parts of the self that emerge in different contexts and relationships.
Mindfulness-Based Approaches
Building present-moment awareness to reduce reactivity and improve emotional wellbeing.
Your first session is an orientation — not a deep-dive into your most difficult moments. Your therapist will take time to understand your background, what has brought you here, and what you're hoping for. Most people describe leaving the first session feeling heard. That is the starting point.
Sessions are 50 minutes. Most clients begin with weekly sessions. Both in-person (Mumbai) and online.
Most couples don't come for therapy after one difficult conversation. It's usually something slower — a distance that has grown, a pattern that won't break, or a breach of trust that neither partner knows how to move past alone. Couples therapy is not a last resort. It is a structured space where two people can be heard simultaneously, and where patterns that feel stuck can begin to shift.
Our couples therapists are trained in integrative approaches including Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), the Gottman Method, Cognitive Behavioural Couples Therapy, and Narrative Therapy. The therapist's role is not to take sides. It is to hold a space where both partners can be heard and supported in communicating differently with each other.
The first session is an assessment — for both of you and your therapist. You will have space to share your relationship history, what has brought you here, and what you each hope for. Both perspectives will be heard. This is the beginning of a process, not a mediation.
Sessions are 60-75 minutes. Weekly to begin with. Both partners attend together. In-person (Mumbai) and online available.
Family therapy brings family members together in a structured therapeutic environment to address communication, conflict, and dynamics that affect the whole system — not just one person. Individual struggles rarely exist in isolation; the family context shapes and is shaped by what each person experiences.
Family therapy at Sanctum is systems-informed — we look at relational patterns between family members, not just the presenting difficulty of one individual. Every voice is heard in a structured, facilitated setting. In some cases, family therapy may run alongside individual sessions for one member — your therapist will discuss what combination makes most sense.
Sessions typically run 60-90 minutes. Structure and frequency discussed collaboratively. In-person (Mumbai) and online available.
There is something that changes when you step into a dedicated therapeutic space. For many people — particularly in couple and family work — being physically in the same room matters in ways that are subtle but real. Our therapists are trained to read non-verbal communication, and the act of coming to a session together is itself part of the process. Our Mumbai clinic is designed to feel calm, private, and separate from the rest of your day.
The same qualified therapists. The same structured approach. From wherever you are. Online sessions are conducted via secure video platform. This works particularly well for individual therapy, follow-up sessions, and clients who travel or are based outside Mumbai.
Whichever format you choose, the therapist, the clinical approach, and the standard of care remain the same. Not sure which is right for you? Our team will help you decide during the introductory call.

A brief, no-obligation call with our team to understand what you're looking for and match you with the right therapist. This is not a clinical session.
An orientation and assessment — your therapist takes time to understand your situation and begin building a shared direction.
Sessions at a frequency that works for you — most commonly weekly to begin. Progress is reviewed regularly and the plan adjusted as needed.
Our team consists of highly qualified psychiatrists and psychologists dedicated to providing ethical, evidence-based care. You will know exactly who your therapist is before your first session.
